Beginning this Sunday, March 30th, the Fairport tumbling
classes will have a new structure. There will now be two classes.
1.) The first class will be from 9:30am to 10:30am. This class is designed
for girls who intend to try out for the Freshman and/or JV squads
in August so it should be comprised of girls who are currently
in the 8th and 9th grade. If there are current sophomores who would also like
to stay in this class, that's fine----and if there are current 7th graders who
know they intend to try out for the Freshman squad next year, they could
probably join this group, as well.
2.) The second class will go from 10:30am to 11:30am and will be for girls
who are currently on the Varsity Squad or who intend to try out for
Varsity in August (so current sophomores and Juniors----or if there
are any seniors on the squad who want to continue to tumble for college
cheering, they are also welcome).
For these classes we are going to ask that girls register and pay for full
sessions (and no longer just show up and pay week to week) so that we have an
accurate idea of class sizes and staffing needs.
When they come on Sunday, 3/30 they will be signing up for a FIVE WEEK session
that will go through the end of April. Cost for this session will be
$50 (and if the girls have not previously been a part of our gym this
school year they will also need to fill out a registration form and pay the
annual registration fee). Beginning the first Sunday in May, the girls will
begin a regular 8-week session (cost of $80). This session will take them
then through the end of the school year.
Girls who want to be part of these classes should try to bring at least the
initial check for $50 on Sunday when they come.
Also - if you will be away for Spring break, RGA has asked
the following:
*notify them this Sunday that you plan to be away during
Spring break
*let RGA know if you will miss one or both Sundays
*RGA will reduce the amount owed by $10 for each class you
will miss
